Site loading time is an important issue in the view of SEO. Normally it should not take more than 5 seconds (Average Value) to load a web page completely. Taking longer time to load a page will definitely have a great effect on your sale. Search engine ranking greatly affects by the site loading time. So, you must find the causes behind your site’s longer loading time and then fix it to improve search engine ranking. Google says, Site Speed is a ranking factor. A faster site is good user experience. You can test your site speed at Google Page Speed 

In order to resolve this problem you are advised to:

  1. Minimize HTTP requests: Your page should have less HTTP request. The more the request is, the more the time need to load the page.
  2. Use Gzip compression: All your files in the Web Server should be compressed. It can reduce download time of your web page. You can use the Gzip compression utility to fix this issue.
  3. Use HTTP caching: HTTP Caching is another way to reduce page loading time.
  4. Move all CSS style rules into a single, external and minified CSS file: If you are using multiple CSS file, then there will be more HTTP request, which will longer web page loading time. So, it will be a wise decision to make a single CSS file combing all of them.
  5. Minify all JS files and, if possible, try combining them into a single external JS file: If you are using multiple JS file, then there will be more HTTP request, which will longer web page loading time. So, it will be a wise decision to make a single JS file combing all of them.
  6. Include external CSS files before external JS files
  7. Place your JS scripts at the bottom of your page: You can use <async> to load the JS file to load faster your web page.
  8. Optimize images: Optimizing image can reduce loading speed. Because image optimizing reduce the file size considerably.
  9. Reduce redirects
  10. Reduce the number of plug-ins: If you are using Word Press or similar Software for making web page, then try to use less numbers of plug-ins to reduce the site loading time.
